May 5 – Come in and sharpen your pruners, shovels and other gardening tools
11:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
Secateurs not cutting it? Hedge clippers sticky, brown and rusty? Edgers, spades and shovels need an overhaul? The maintenance of gardening tools is frequently left for a rainy day, but that day often never arrives.
Evan Blackburn will show you the path to sharp, shiny efficient tools. Bring along one tool of your own choice to clean and sharpen. Evan will help you get ready for the season ahead. All other tools and materials provided.
Dutch Bike-a-Logue: June 14, Almonte Branch Meeting Room 7 p.m.
In May of 2017 five men — young at heart — decided to tour The Netherlands and Belgium by bike. So with nothing but a credit card, a bike and two saddle bags full of stuff each, they jumped the big pond and hit the road on perhaps the best cycling highway in existence. 20 days and over 1,000 km later they all had a richer understanding of the country, its people and way of life. They also learned a thing or two about bicycle touring and each other — all of it good!
Join in as they share some of their experiences as part of Mississippi Mills Bicycle Month. More Information here.

BRINGING UP BABY is a 1938 American screwball comedy film starring Katherine Hepburn and Cary Grant and released by RKO Pictures. A flop at the time of its original release it has gone on to receive acclaim from both critics and audience for its zany antics and pratfalls, absurd situations and misunderstandings, perfect sense of comic timing, completely screwball cast, series of lunatic and hare-brained misadventures, disasters, light-hearted surprises and romantic comedy. It is considered one of the most quintessential screwball comedies of all times. A perfect film to get us through the month of February.
