Have you ever thought you’d like to work in a library?

The Mississippi Mills Public Library Volunteer Program expands and enhances public service to the community. As a volunteer you’ll provide important support services to staff and/or work on special projects. You’ll learn more about the library and its place in the community and observe first-hand how the library serves community needs.

Activities will be as varied as delivering books to homebound patrons, assisting with seed lending library events, shelf reading, helping with the annual book sale and lots of other fun things.

As a volunteer applicant you’ll be asked to fill out an application form and meet with a supervisory staff member. You’ll also be asked to complete a Vulnerable Sector Check. Volunteers must be at least 14 years of age.

In Almonte please call 613-256-1037 or email mhaygoodings@mississippimills.ca for more information and an application form.
