Home Alone Safety for Kids – delivered by Safety Tree Canada

This course is delivered in person at Almonte Branch – Sunday, 14 July, 9am to 4pm – $40 per child

The program’s cost is partially subsidized by the municipality of Mississippi Mills (the course is regularly $77.25/child). Contact the library if your family needs help with the program’s cost. The Home Alone Safety for Kids program helps children gain confidence and skills to stay at home alone successfully. This safety program is designed for children aged 9 through 12 years old. Safety and awareness are the common themes. All information is current, so it reflects what today’s children are facing when home alone: Street smarts and bike safety – Online and internet safety – Snacking and kitchen safety – Home and fire safety – Sibling rivalry – Preventing accidents – Emergency situations – Basic first aid skills – People safety. Each participant takes home a Home Alone Safety for Kids Manual and Certificate upon successful completion of the course.
