We invite you to celebrate the

5th Annual National Canadian Film Day

When:  WEDNESDAY, APRIL 18 – 1:30 pm

Where:  ALMONTE BRANCH, Mississippi Mills Public Library

In this award winning film released in June 2017, Maudie is based on the true story of Nova Scotia folk artist Maude Lewis, a woman crippled with arthritis who, after a rough upbringing, finds herself married to a surly fish peddler as her bright and quirky nature paintings gain in popularity.

Wednesday Afternoon Films

Do you find the winters long?    We are showing films twice a month on Wednesday afternoons throughout the months of January, February and March.

We will begin again in mid-September through mid-December with a fall series.

In Pakenham, our technology assistant Gregory has put together our Memory Lab. Check it out! Got old photographs you want digitized? old VHS you want to convert to DVD? Pakenham is your branch and Gregory can get you started.  Speaking of our technology assistant – call either location (Almonte 613 256 1037 or Pakenham 613 624 5306) to book your one-on-one tech tutor support session! Gregory can answer your questions.

We are also launching a speaker series on topics of particular interest to seniors and/or their caretakers in both our branches.  Click here for speaker line up!
