Bringing Up Baby

Katharine Hepburn and Cary Grant star in this 1938 romantic comedy directed by Howard Hawks.  It’s been called the quintessential screwball comedy and one of the funniest movies ever made.  It even ranks on the American Film Institute’s 100 greatest American films of all time list.  A little romance, a lot of laughter – a great film to help us get through the month of February.

films begin at 1:30 – no registration required – space is limited

Films will soon be showing at the Pakenham Branch as well.  Stay tuned!

In Pakenham, our technology assistant Gregory has started putting together our Memory Lab. Something to look forward to in 2018! Got old photographs you want digitized? old VHS you want to convert to DVD? Pakenham is your branch and Gregory can get you started. Phone ahead first, 613 624 5306,  as the lab is not set up yet. Speaking of our technology assistant – call either location (Almonte 613 256 1037 or Pakenham 613 624 5306) to book your one-on-one tech tutor support session! Gregory can answer your questions.

We are also launching a speaker series on topics of particular interest to seniors and/or their caretakers in both our branches.  Some topics include senior health care, managing finances, hoarding.  Stayed tuned — all this and more coming your way in 2018!
