A photographic based multi-media artist and Master digital printer, Rod’s passion is to create unique photographic and multi-media art works. Experimenting with new techniques of processing, printing and presentation so that each work stands out, including working with metal, glass and transfers to wood as well as using epoxy resin.
Rod exhibits frequently in art galleries, art shows and public spaces. His works are in collections in over 17 countries. As well as running Advanced Images, a boutique photographic printing company that specializes in working with photographers. He has also curated or co-curated over 20 art exhibits and is a national & international photographic competition judge (GTCCC & CAPA), having judged over 140 times. He also teaches and presents at photo clubs, regional and international conferences. He is one of two international trainers of judges for CAPA along with being the Vice President & Ontario Zone Director of CAPA. When time permits he enjoys photographing in far off places around the world that are rapidly changing.
Rod strives to create works that will inspire others to explore the world around us, to look at things a little differently.

The Corridor Gallery is a small, public gallery that has been in operation at the Library since 1997 with the enthusiastic support of the CEO/Chief Librarian, staff and patrons. Colourful and engaging displays are changed on a monthly basis featuring the work of emerging and established artists from the Ottawa Valley and beyond. Curators of the Gallery are Barbara Cotterill and Ann Jezewski.
